I think your confusion is coming from the existence of System Shock Enhanced Edition. I'm on Level 3 of a recent play through and just feeling the itch to try some official mouse-look, new resolutions, left-handed keybindings, MacClassic assets and fan-levels and what-not until the remake arrives. And also, is there one of the versions that can be wine-ified or dosbox-ified easier since I'm on MacOS?. Honestly I'm not really sure which ones have which features that is why I'm trying to figure out which one to buy.I have accounts on both platforms, but it seems that one version has the source code re-write with 4k resolutions perhaps and the MacClassic® assets and maybe the Chicajo soundtracks?.Is there a table or similar comparison format that describes the merits of the GoG version vs the Steam version?.I have bought this game now too many times to remember and shipped several spare copies (the classics edition not the big box) to various people over the years (one internationally even! back in the ttlg days) but alas it is time to buy it again.
